Snow f(l)akes

29/11/2021

This is an “in camera” double exposure picture (same time – same place, no post production merge) in which the typical white stains on the bark of a beech (first shot – close up), “become” snow flakes falling from the sky when overlapped on the second shot of the surrounding snowy forest, in Lessinia, taken with intentional vertical camera movement.
With this technique the results are not easy to predict and control, so it took me several attempts to get a decent shot.
